Our nuts are sprouted for over 30 hours - soaked, awakened, and gently dried to begin the cycle of life.
In the wild, nuts protect themselves. They use enzyme inhibitors and phytic acid as armour - to keep animals from eating them before they sprout.
Those same enzyme inhibitors and phytic acid make raw nuts harder for humans to digest and block some of their nutrients.
Then the rain arrives.
It breaks down the phytic acid and reduces enzyme inhibitors.
The nut softens.
Life begins.
We capture that moment.
By sprouting our nuts we unlock their nutrients, make them easier to digest and give them our signature crunch.
It’s slow and it’s Intentional.
